Laptops with Windows 11 21H2 and 22H2 require a specific hotfix to be compatible with the 24H2 WLAN driver or might encounter Wi-Fi device malfunctions and a yellow exclamation mark appears on the Wi-Fi adapter in Device Manager after Windows Update.



Follow the steps to get the Windows hotfix and solve the wireless connection problem.



A. Download the hotfix.



    Click the link below to download the hotfix.



       1. Windows 11 build 22000: Please click here to download KB5029332.



       2. Windows 11 build 22621: Please click here to download KB5029351.



       *Please note that the code number for KB might be revised when new updates roll out. Therefore, it is recommended to perform a Windows Update to get the latest KB updates.



B. Double-click the file to install the hotfix.



    



C. Click"Yes" to continue.



    



D. After the reinstallation is finished, restart the laptop.



    



E. The Wireless adapter can be correctly recognized in the system.

     1. Press “Win” + “R” and enter “winver”.
